The Carrier Virtual Workshop includes a 30 day consulting package that begins with a 2-Part Virtual Workshop conducted via the Internet utilizing the Second Life platform. You and up to 2 of your staff members may attend. Each will need their own computer.

Second Life is a virtual world used by many of the top educators in the country as an online classroom.

You will need to create a free account with Second Life and download their viewer. You can then visit our Virtual Office for your 2 day Virtual Workshop.

The ability to attend a Workshop in a Virtual environment allows you to see and actually experience the methods, techniques, skills, tools and programs for being a carrier/broker. In addition you'll have "Hands-On" access to software and broker programs during you Virtual Workshop allowing your to complete exercises between Part 1 & 2.

In order to attend a Carrier Virtual Workshop, you will need the following;

• High Speed Internet such as Broadband or DSL

• Headset with Microphone for communicating during your Virtual Workshop

• Computer capable of running the Second Life Viewer (click here for specs)

The Freight Broker Virtual Workshop Kit - The Carrier Virtual Kit contains everything you will need for your 2 Day Virtual Workshop. The Carrier Broker 2K9 Manual, The Carrier Broker Workbook, the digital TALTOA Shipper Directory, the digital TALTOA Carrier Directory and assorted supplies you will use during your Workshop.

Unlimited Phone Support - As questions arise you can pick up the phone and call your consultant. Often these questions are for rate assistance, terminology clarification, and contract assistance. We urge you to use phone support as often as needed.

Weekly Conference Calls - You will be invited to attend all open Conference Calls. All of our clients are invited to attend and discuss topics that are of concern to them. This can be of benefit to all as the WCC consists of brokers, transporters, hot shots and trucking companies.

Immediate Email Updates - All consulting clients receive emails from us containing important information relating to the transportation industry. It is not uncommon to receive several updates per week.

Monthly Reports - Each client receives our Monthly Consult Report which contains news, information, suggestions, and more.

Software - The Broker S.V. Freight Broker Software from ISS is included with this package. During your Workshop you will receive training for using this software.

Service Discounts - Because of our industry affiliations we are able to provide our clients discounts on tools and services of up to 50%.

Client Area Access - As a client you will be given a username and password that will allow you and your staff access to our client area. This is a great tool that you will use daily as it provides information such as the e-version of FBT-101, videos, chats, downloadable forms, account leads and more.

Carrier Virtual Workshops are conducted according to you and your consultants schedule. When you are ready to begin, just call and schedule. We do ask that you practice with Second Life while waiting for delivery of your Freight Broker 2K9 Manual and Workbook. We ship your Kit via USPS Priority Mail as soon as your order is processed (normally 24 hours).
