Freight Broker Agent 120
The Freight Broker Agent 120 Day Training & Consulting Package is designed for those with or without transportation experience, wishing to begin or expand their career as a freight broker agent. Those selecting the Freight Broker Agent 120 will receive training at our facility, 120 days of consulting, and a complete web site for their brokerage.
We recommend that those with limited to no experience in the transportation industry begin their career as a freight broker agent in order to build an account list, develop a carrier following, and obtain experience in the day-to-day operations of a freight brokerage while working as an agent.
Upon choosing this package you and 1 guest will be scheduled for training at our location in Fort Smith, Ar. Training will last 3 days and is scheduled for the dates chosen by you. Training begins at 9:00 A.M. Daily and concludes at approximately 4:30 P.M, with intermittent breaks and a short lunch break.
Travel, meals, and hotel accommodations are not included however hotel discounts are available for those that will be attending. Upon registration you will receive an information email containing your confirmation, directions, local information, and information on discounted hotel accommodations
Upon arrival you and your guest will receive our Freight Broker Training Manual, Freight Broker Training Workbook, and other supplies needed for your training. We do recommend that all attendees bring a laptop as much of the training will be hands on using freight broker tools, programs, and software. If contacted in advance, a laptop can be provided, for use during training, for those unable to provide their own.
The Training
Training is conducted in a classroom atmosphere and we recommend casual attire. Coffee and water is provided during your training with a soft drink and snack machine available. Interaction between attendees and your consultant is encouraged during training.

*In addition to the above topics, you will learn how to set-up your office, office equipment needed, computer selection assistance if needed, and information on phone systems.
All details for working day-to-day as a freight broker agent will be covered during training. All attending will obtain hands on training for working with load boards and freight broker software. Sales strategy and techniques will also be covered.
Additionally you will learn the proper steps for obtaining a freight broker agent contract with additional assistance for understanding the contract, the ability to recognize problem areas in a contract, the importance of a freight broker credit score and more. As we have freight broker clients that are seeking our clients, whom are wishing to become agents, we are able to provide assistance with obtaining a freight broker agent contract in order to begin working immediately.
Obtaining your freight broker authority will also be discussed during your training to better prepare you should you decide at some point to start your own freight brokerage. During this training you will learn at what point you should begin to consider obtaining your authority.
The Web Design Package
The Freight Broker Agent 120 includes a complete turnkey website for your agency. This includes domain, design, and hosting for 1 year. Upon choosing this package and prior to your scheduled training, you will receive our Web Design Information Form. This will allow you to provide us details such as domain name choices, your published contact information, and the email addresses you would like set-up with your site. You will also be able to choose a design for your site as we have over 4,000 available. Please note that you will own your domain.
*Although a freight broker agent, you are still your own business. As such, marketing your business is a necessity. Your agency having its own website plays a key role in your marketing strategy.
The Consulting
Upon completion of your training, and beginning with your first day of working as a freight broker agent, you will have 120 days of unlimited email and phone support. You are encouraged and expected to use this as often as needed. Although the consulting period can be extended, those working as a freight broker agent normally have no need for an extension.
In addition to the unlimited phone and email support, you will have unlimited access to our eWorkshop Plus. You will receive a username and password allowing you to utilize this tool for review of the material covered during your onsite training and for additional training. The eWorkshop Plus contains individual training modules which include videos, links, downloads, and tests. Access is provided from the conclusion of your onsite training to the end of your consulting period.
