Freight Broker Agent An independent contractor, contracted to a Freight Broker, performing the functions of a Freight Broker up to the point of invoicing shippers and paying carriers. An agent is paid a commission on every load moved determined by the difference of what the shipper paid and what was actually paid the truck.

Be it a Freight Broker or Freight Broker Agent, both are essentially doing the same job, finding loads for trucks and trucks for loads. Although simple in theory, both need to be ambitious, self motivated, have an entrepreneurial spirit and eager to learn.
